I love this idea from newsoap.org. They recycle bottles and fill them with handsoap, cleaning supplies, et. It also got me thinking of a great DIY idea. It would be a fun “green” housewarming gift to design your own cleaning labels and give them to a friends as they move in or move out.
It’s no surprise that my partner and I live in a terribly small converted garage in Seattle. We love it though — it has charm as folks say. But here are some great ideas to inspire from Apartment Therapy’s Small Cool Contest. These folks who have taken small apartments and made them extraordinary.

This weekend we walked about 8 blocks up to our local grocery store. It was a beautiful fall day, so I was happy. However, as we got to the store I realized that we could only — “buy what we could carry”. Although this is great for the environment and a general sense of cutting down on consumerism a little Hook & Go would be an awesome way to roll. Special thanks to my partner Ken who has been working selflessly to change the MNF theme. Over the next week or so we’ll continue to change colors, pictures, etc. So hold on and enjoy the ride.
Ken definitely wins the best tech boyfriend award this week!
