There are a ton of great career blogs out there. I read them all the time because I work as a freelance consultant — so it feels like I am always looking for a job.

The days are already getting shorter. Can you believe it?
I am not a
morning person, so I’ll try anything to make waking up easier. This
is my new favorite alarm clock — I have to have it. The Wake-Up Light
Alarm Clock gets gradually brighter to mimic a rising sun. It is ugly,
but I’ll try anything!
I found this great new site on Geek Sugar this morning. It is a wonderful way to really cater your trip to your individual needs. For example, my partner is 6′5″ so being able to search for “Legroom” is a great treat. Enjoy!
Check out Inside Trip!
My boyfriend is always talking solar power, but I can’t seem to get my mind around it living in a place (Seattle) where there is basically no sun and a lot of rainy grey days at least 5 months of the year.
However, this is a good compromise of power and style. The Solarjo purse can charge your cell phone for about 2 hours. Thanks to Unplggd for this little gem.
Don’t know why they have a muscle clad man’s arm holding it up, but I’m going to let that one go for today. Enjoy.
Make Lemon Squezzy. . .A quick gift from Poppy Talk to brighten any day. Download your own free poster. Enjoy.

We’ve been composting here in Seattle for almost a year now. It is great. The city garbage will take yard waste and compost it for use in city parks. Since we eat a lot of vegetables, it is a great use of our scraps.
The only problem is the smell and fruit flys on our counter top since we do not empty it everyday. I ended up purchasing this cute compost bin to go under our counter, but they have beautiful ceramic counter top options too.
For other great compost pail options go to Gardener’s Supply.
My boyfriend is crazy about videos, and takes them constantly. He just
got a new Sony HD camcorder. [Just as a side note, the man in this picture is not my boyfriend ;-)]
Check out some of his great HD footage on Youtube.
It’s not new, but I’ve had these on my mind for a few weeks. It is wonderful, but I’ve got my eye set
on this adorable little flip video. I don’t know that I would actually
take a lot of video, but if that I had this, I might give it a try.
So we have two sweet cats named BlackJack and Lola. This is their new favorite fashion accessory the Beastie Band!

Second, our cats go in and out through a cat door in the back of the house. We began to suspect that there was another cat who was coming into our house at night and eating all the food — so my partner tried to catch the culprit red-handed. He bought istopmotion, set up the camera over night, and took more than 5000 pics. I’m disappointed to report that we have not yet discovered the truth, but we’ll keep using our Nancy Drew tools until we do!
To see how cool istopmotion can be check out my friend’s video of their kitchen demolition. very cool.
Their kitchen demo — using istop motion! Enjoy your kitty day!
This is a rather useless product, and I bet you are wondering — who would use this?
Well, let me just say that I have a terrible diet soda habit. It started as a child, and when I was little I would get the giant 2-Liter bottle put it in the center of the kitchen floor and gently lean it against my cup since it was too heavy to lift on my own, and then leave it on the floor for my mother to put away. . .If I’d only had the 2-Liter Pour Thing I could have had a steady stream of caffeine and sugar directly into my little body!
I’m crazy about the Olympics and I just got a glimpse of the medals on the Today Show. The venues in Beijing are beautiful and each medal holds Chinese Jade — which symbolizes honor and perfection. I’ve got Olympic Fever!
